This is 100% real and not intended to spread false information. There is an inherent danger to our children and young adults. We are passing this vital message out to the Internet as a means to get this information out to as many people as possible. Thanks in advance for receiving this and taking the time to read it.
Some of the info below was originally found at Mission Bay Hospital in San Diego on the Doctors-Nurses-Paramedic-E.M.T. bulletin board.
As a paramedic I get paid whether I am on a response (request for help) or not. Our shifts are mostly 24 hours and we like to sleep all night!!!The facts are, drugs can kill you.
Maybe you choked on your own vomit as your body rejected the substance. None of your friends noticed this as they left you in a corner to "sleep it off!" Maybe your heart stopped beating or your brain stopped sending the signal to your respiratory muscles and diaphragm to contract and you stopped breathing. Maybe we get there with enough time to correct the problems, maybe not.
I leave the hospital after we transport you and go back to the station to sleep or eat or watch TV. You stay there and get intubated (a tube placed into your lungs) and another tube into your stomack down your throat and another one in your urethra (penis or vaginal) and IV's in your veins. That is, if we have not done it already while you lay on the side of the road, or in the bathroom of the club you were at, or in an alley lying on the ground with the "trash."
Maybe you were sexually assaulted by males or females or both!!! TRUST ME, I have seen it many times. As one of the MD's stated to me on one occasion after a transport to the ER, "I wonder what the "old man" would say now if he saw his daughter here." This, after we picked her up unconscious with her skirt and underpants down to her ankles at the border of TJ / San Diego at 3:30 in the morning. She was found in an alley behind a Mexican bar. She was 20 years old. She did not remember any of it, she was comatous, which was most likely to her benefit!!!
Maybe you get discharged from the E.R., maybe not. Maybe you get transported to the morgue later on. Or, maybe we did not even transport you because you were "coded!" in the field...
PRONOUNCED! (11-44), otherwise known as D.O.A. (Dead On Arrival) or DEAD at scene!!!
We "unloaded our drug box" and skills on you and our efforts were in vain. We covered you up with a "yellow disposable blanket" and cleaned up our ambulance and restocked our equipment. Hopefully we did not get stuck with one of your needles or get hurt while trying to help you. We left you there with the police officers until the coroner came to get you and take you to the morgue. Then, your family came to see you and cried.
We went back to our station, watched TV, and went to sleep, hopefully. Then on our day off we go to the ball game with our family or maybe surfing with our friends...

A form of a tattoo called "Blue Star" is being sold to school children. It is a small piece of paper containing a blue star. They are the size of a pencil eraser, and each star is soaked with LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide).
THE DRUG IS ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN SIMPLY BY HANDLING THE PAPER
EACH ONE IS WRAPPED IN FOIL!
This is a new way of selling acid by appealing to teenagers and young children!
THEY ARE LACED WITH DRUGS
If your child receives any of the above tattoos, do not handle them. They are known to react quickly and some laced are with STRYCHNINE. Contact 911 immediately or your local hospital and or Poison Control and your local police department.
There are also brightly colored paper tattoos resembling postage stamps that have the pictures of the following: Superman, Mickey Mouse, Clowns, Disney characters, Bart Simpson, Butterflies, etc..
Although this problem is "not" new and has been around for almost 20 years, it is becoming more chronic and it appears to be an increasing problem. Local police officers and nurses said that they have seen and regularly deal with LSD being distributed via a medium such as a droplet on a piece of paper with a picture on it.
In Southern California we have seen some major DRUG abuse increases in our communities. San Diego is the CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE capitol of the world. We have drugs coming across our border at T.J. every day... Or being mafe in clandestine labs in garages or kitchens.
LSD is becoming more popular these days and new drugs such as G.H.B. (Gamma Hydroxybutrate) and Ketamine (Special -K) are being used at clubs and uder-ground parties, ect. Also, PCP, Methamphetamines, Heroin, Oxycontin - Oxycodone(Oxycotten), SOMA, Extasy, and other drugs are popular abuses.
And YES, people have died: Many young people with their whole lives ahead of them. Or, young men and women have been sexually assaulted while in an obtunded state. Per the San Diego Regional Poison Center at the University of San Diego Medical Center, the L.S.D. problem does pop up now and then, but there have not been any reported deaths yet in this county. An Emergency Room Physician (Jack Clark M.D.) at U.C.S.D. Medical Center states that he has seen young adults and teenagers that have overdosed from LSD recently in the emergency department. He added the drug can react similar to P.C.P. and cause patients to become very violent. The drug does not show up in urine tests. And Dr. Harley at Children's Medical Center in San Diego added that he has not personally seen a child with an LSD overdose, but has heard of cases elsewhere.
Unfortunately, LSD is being sold to children in the form of "cute" tattoos or on small pieces of paper or stamps. I believe that the overall message here is: Kids can be tricked via some LOOSER Drug Dealer into buying these as they portray happy things such as clowns and Mickey Mouse.
As reported in The San Diego Union on Thursday, April 10, 1997:
On April 8th. 1997 an eight grade student (13 year old) in the San Diego School District poisoned his teacher with 4 LSD tablets that he placed in his teachers ice tea. The teacher (a 50 year old, 30 year employee of the district) was transported to Kaiser Hospital where his was treated and was reported to be in stable condition the next day. He became ill in class and went to the nurses office prior. After the student had bragged to his classmates that he had "spiked" the thermos containing the ice tea, one of students, a girl, notified school police.
The student of course was questioned by the staff and the principal and the
San Diego City School Police Department as well as San Diego Police Department
after admitting that he "spiked" the drink to friends. He was immediately
suspended under a "zero tolerance" policy pending the results of the criminal
investigation. He will face felony charges in connection with the incident.
Apparently the student was upset over a failing grade he was given on an
assignment, but investigators have not determined a motive yet. School police
said that an investigation is continuing and they are looking for accomplices
and possibly the person responsible for supplying the drug to the student. It
was added the if the teacher had attempted to drive his car, a serious accident
could have occurred.
The teacher retired and never did return to his
classroom after poisoning.
This incident was the first of its kind in the San Diego Unified School district, however: In November, 1996, a Florida teenager was arrested and charged with spiking a teacher's 20 once soft drink bottle with LSD. And, in 1991, a high school student in Michigan was sentenced to six moths in jail for a similar crime.
L.S.D. is classified as a "psychedelic" and causes hallucinations and extreme panic. An LSD intoxication can cause an "overdose" which will need medical attention. Overdoses and poisonings are two facets of the same problem. Poisoning represents an exposure to agents that are intrinsically harmful. And an overdose represents exposure to agents that are harmful when taken in excess.
Another drug, Heroin suppresses the somatic nervous system. The drug takes over the respiratory drive in the cerebellum. As your respirations diminish, your body begins to die. After 4 to 6 minutes without oxygen, your chances of survival (resuscitation) are poor.
GHB - Gamma Hydroxy Butyrate:
Why do people take it? To get
high, to help them sleep, work out, to relax, for self confidence. And among
other things, GHB and its analog products claim to fight stress and depression,
stimulate Growth Hormone, induce deep sleep, relieve anxiety, aid in
muscle-building, enhance sexual feeling, enhance athletic performance, and
combat aging. Beware........ What you don't know CAN KILL YOU.
GHB is for the most part, a solvent. It produces a euphoric effect. Some people will decompensate fast and go into a coma like state and wake up hours later. Some will die. It's therapeutic ranges are too narrow for lay people to use without an MD's advice. It is currently used to treat narcolepsy.
Ketamine produces hallucinary, demobilizing and trance like stupors called "K-HOLES!" Dissociative in action, the user feels as if the mind and body are separated form the body.
Ketamine or SPECIAL - K produces a "detached and remote" sensation to the user from their immediate environment. The hallucinations or synaesthesia produces a euphoria, depersonalization and confusion. Side effects can cause the heart to stop, muscle spasms, blurred vision, dizziness, slurred speech, respiratory depression and impaired coordination. Also: amnesia, aggressive behavior, and paranoid or delusional thinking. It lowers the heart rate and can cause oxygen deprivation to the heart and brain.
Ketamine is used for veterinary purpose. It is also used by search and rescue crews to treat traumatic injuries where victims are trapped as in cave ins or building collapses Ketamine Hydrochloride is an anesthetic with analgesic and psychedelic properties chemically related to PCP - Angel Dust (Phencyclidine).
THERE IS NOTHING HAPPY ABOUT DRUG ABUSE. Please delete this message if
you do not agree with the fact that kids are in jeopardy.
If you doubt
this info, please contact your local police or your local D.A.R.E.
office or hospital. Maybe in your town, it is not a problem. And, I'm not sure
if any "child" has OVERDOSED on LSD in your area that was sold on a tattoo or
stamp. Or overdosed from drug abuse. But, I know that it is out
there and it is a potential problem everywhere. This message was not
meant to scare anyone, just a prompt to open your eyes...

You are correct, on the Stickers making a come-back. A recent
incident in New Hampshire, was local residents were sent a mailer, about a
miracle healing power. They were to lick the blotch on the paper and stick it to
the back of their hand. Guess what?? You got it. The local department is
investigating, but has yet to find any organized connections.
