The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, represented by Jeffrey Haner, Office of the Director of Public Safety Superintendent of Police, presented Kathleen (Katon) Tonnesen with the USA Flag that was flown at Ground Zero on Valentines Day 14 February 2006, as a Thank you for the 9-11 Canadian Release of Souls “Gift of Healing” to their Country.  Kathleen was deeply touched by the fact that a project born of LOVE and Compassion was awarded the Flag that was flown on the day symbolic of LOVE.  She said “I am proud and humbled to accept the USA Flag on behalf of the Canadian Release of Souls Team and am thankful to New Jersey State Honor Guard Commander, Fairlawn Police Lt. Robert Kneer and New Jersey State Bugler, Ret. Police Officer Robert Krupinski, for introducing WORLD MEMORIAL Release of Souls to the Port Authority of NY and NJ.”

Meetings were held with REMSCO-EMS, FDNY, PA, City Hall,World Cares - September Space and several 9/11 Family groups. Concurrently, ArtAid and the WM team had a design meeting for the 40' Honor Roll Banner - WORLD MEMORIAL North America Education Tour.

WORLD MEMORIAL salutes Holland & Knight for their philanthropy, vision and compassion.  It was truly an honor to attend the unveiling of this remarkable memorial which not only pays homage to the 343 that paid the ultimate sacrifice, but acknowledges and honors the ultimate sacrifice paid by many Firefighter volunteers around the globe.  Volunteer Firefighter Glenn J. Winuk will be remembered proudly by his nation as number 344 – WM Founder B. D. Messinger, Rescue Pilot, Enduring Freedom Veteran

WORLD MEMORIAL transcontinental trip, escorting Torches Across America Motorcycle Riders, is now in Albuquerque New Mexico. Traveling on Historic Route 66, we were escorted by 15 motor officers and 2 patrol cars from The New Mexico State Police, Bernalillo County Sheriffs, and Albuquerque Police Officers. Over 300 citizens and Police Officers and Fire Fighters attended a ceremony at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge.
