Dear WORLD-MEMORIAL,
I imagine a round building (cylinder shaped) bustling with world trade center commerce. An ascending interfaith memorial garden wraps the building (like
a ribbon wraps an old-fashion barbershop pole). Trees and plants would be donated by nations around the world. Amidst the plants, engraved stones or wall plaques would lift up holy writings from all major faith
traditions that celebrate shared values/ beliefs such as: hope, redemption, love. Visitors may walk their way up around the building and remember those who died. They may also ponder the fact that
international commerce has always driven interfaith cooperation and they may consider the many beliefs most people of faith hold in common. Submitted for your consideration by Rev. Dr. Sarah F.
