Freedom Antenna, Upper Section
Top 250’, of the 360 foot 1WTC antenna is reconstructed as a gigantic flagpole. The “Freedom Antenna” is erected at eleven
degrees; tribute to the lives lost on September 11.
Three New York’s bravest
raise the flags of 62 nations,
hosted high on the “Freedom Antenna ,”
presenting gigantic flags, in UN protocol,
waving freely just feet above the Pavilion of Hope
and resting place of nearly 3,000 victims
Lower Section:
The
base and larger bottom hundred foot section, rests, in several pieces, on the WTC plaza park, broken, as symbol of the caliber of destruction.
Nursery and Alternative Energy
The same huge
section doubles as an entrance to the children’s playground and underground nursery, and surface area for the “Tribute in Light” energy panels, as offering of a new direction and mission.
