Dear WORLD MEMORIAL,
My idea for the WTC Memorial -- Illuminating Stars:
A huge clear arch with a blue laser light for night illumination. This giant
arch is filled with several different color tinted "Stars" -- each engraved with the name of one of those that perished on 9/11. These "Stars" are color outlined --and the engraving is as
well -- so as to illuminate/glow at night as they float. The arch is filled with a clear liquid and powered by a generator that forces air into the arch and pushes the "STARS" around which allows
them to float continuously.
(I suppose you can liken it to a huge arch-shaped "snow globe" but powered by an air generator.) At a ceremony each family can place the "Star" of their beloved one into the arch, before it is sealed and powered for the first time. This would be a gorgeous and very symbolic memorial.
