Circular Concept

World Trade Center & 9/11 Memorial
Conceptual Design

1. Four 90 story high pyramid like buildings –commercial/office towers. The outward building arrangement is in a square configuration with each of the buildings facing to the North, South, East, and West.

2. Four 20-30 story high buildings – Museum, Shopping, Entertainment, & Commercial centers. These building are arranged in between the four main towers conforming to the outward square arrangement

3. 911-memorial wall (approximately 12 feet high) is a circular configuration of four separate walls with four entrances facing North, South, East, & West towers.  The wall should be made out of white stone with the names of all WTC victims in black scribed on the inside of the memorial wall [the dates of birth & death should be scribed under each name].  The floor of the memorial is white stone with numerous white stone benches. In the middle of the memorial should be simple white stone column, (same height as the wall) with an eternal flame.

4. The original WTC building’s footprints should be made out of white stone approximately four feet wide at the park’s grass field level or slightly exceeding the grass level.

5. The park located in between the eight buildings should have various statues/art donated to the city of New York in lieu of the 9/11 tragedy.  The park should also house the skeleton portion of the original WTC building.

6. The outward arrangement of all eight buildings is in a square configuration with each of the four tall towers facing to the North, South, East, and West. These four pyramid shaped tall towers represent the strength of this country letting everyone know the “we shall never surrender” to threats. The inner building arrangement is in a circular shape and is representing this country and its people unity.
