I suggest the the twin towers be remembered by erecting two of the largest flag poles and the largest flags in the world - one being the US flag and, the other, a commemorative
flag designed by the victims families. The flags would be illuminated by lights from the roofs of other new commercial buildings proposed for the ground zero site. I would envision the base of the poles
having to be 30 feet in diameter or more, with the names of the victims, by company, listed on them.
9/11 made Americans more patriotic and flag-waving, more than any other time in our nation's
history. Why not keep that patriotism alive, along with the symbolism of the twin towers, in a lasting memorial of this kind. - Richard J. F.
